If you want something done right: RWD Lamborghini

For so long Lamborhini threatened to build a rear wheel drive version of its Murcielago, make the definitive driver's Lambo and in the process create a worthy successor to the Diablo GT.

They even teased us by making a rwd R-GT racing version, which pounded the track on various GT and LMS venues, but for several years they increased the power and sharpened the looks of the road going Murcie, creating the LP640, but they wouldn't remove that damned driveshaft to the front wheels.

But now it seems like you might just be able to get your ostentatious, Lambo-phile hands on a Murcie that someone has removed it from.

Reiter Engineering, the team that runs Lambo's racing efforts, have produced a one off road-legal version of the Murcielago R-GT for the Essen Motor Show and if you hit them hard enough with your chequebook, they might just sell you one.

Hopefully this is one show car that will make it to the road.

Thanks to Pistonheads.com for the story and Motorauthority for the photos.

They will definitely sell one, it's truly the matter of cheque book and the money in your account!
